Pastiche

About

Pastiche in Knutsford does not publish its opening hours anywhere, so ring 01565 653488 before you go, and ignore the postcode on its own website. The restaurant is at 13 Tatton Street, WA16 6AB, round the corner from the top of King Street. Its own site gives the postcode as WA16 6AV, which does not exist, so a sat nav will not find it: WA16 6AB is the one to use. It is family run by Bart and Lucy, calls itself the longest serving restaurant in Knutsford, established in 2001, and the menu runs from pizza and pasta through tapas to a la carte and the grill, with a takeaway menu as well. There is a courtyard garden with only a limited number of tables, so book if you want to eat outside. Cheshire East Council rated it 5 out of 5, very good, at its inspection on 14 March 2025, though the detail is worth reading: it scored 5 for hygiene, 5 for structure and 5 for confidence in management, a total of 15, which is exactly the ceiling for a rating of 5. One point worse in any of the three would have made it a 4. One more trap: the Christmas closing notice on the restaurant's homepage is left over from 2024, wishing customers a happy 2025, so do not plan this Christmas around it.
